To Catch A Coho
As fall approaches in Alaska a really great game fish known as the Silver Salmon
or by the Indian name Coho Salmon, returns to the Kenai River.
These silver torpedoes begin appearing in late July and continue entering the
Kenai River well into September. These sizzling salmon make absolutely crazy runs
and arching leaps which makes them a favorite for both the novice and veteran angler.
Our Coho salmon average 8 - 15 pounds, and fish ranging from 15 - 20 pounds are not uncommon.
These salmon provide great memories, and excellent tablefare after an enjoyable day of fishing.
